![]() While we are not immune to development changes, the end result actually aligns more closely to the original toy. There were a few parts that ended up shifting molds right before tool start, so sadly the shoulder cannons could not be molded in the intended gun metal gray, and had to be molded with sections of the feet. Our 2022 version took the scale of this character to heart and set out to deliver this triple-moder at a whopping 22”! Metroplex is a modernization of the 2005 Cybertron figure based on the animation. The original toy was approximately 13 inches tall and aligned some great toy features to the animation. Sam Smith also shared some comments about Metroplex development: The videos feature the new “Legacy style” format seen in the Legacy Wreck N’ Rule Springer videos with a new colorful Legacy frame showing the CAD files of Metroplex in his 3 modes: Robot mode, “work” mode and alt mode. Now it’s turn of Transformers Legacy Titan Cybertron Metroplex. The shoulders are double jointed such that the arms can go up 90 degrees and then the grey shoulder parts can go up an additional 45 degrees or so. ![]() There's even an (admittedly kinda pointless) ankle rotation. ![]() This model is not to be uploaded or sold in any form and is intended for personal use only.Once again, thanks to Hasbro designer Sam “King Samlock” Smith on Instagram we have a new set of official turnaround videos. The ankles rock not only side to side but also forward and back. ![]() ![]() This Cyber Planet Key has been provided in two versions - one with the rounded back and another with a flat back (which should make for easier printing).Īnd there we have it - a little blast from the past for Cybertron Metroplex. It does really bring back the retro feeling of powering things up with the Cyber Planet Key, less the fact that the new Sparkdrinker's head no longer splits open.Īnd since this works as a replacement for the original Metroplex's key, it will activate the original Cybertron version Sparkdrinker too! This version was printed in FDM so it will definitely pull better details on clear resin and with either purple dye or a clear purple paint! Following the earlier Cyberkey port, given how hard it may be to find an actual Cyber Planet Key, here's a replica of the key!Īnd so here it is - a hopefully close replica of the key itself!Īnd printed out and painted, here's how it looks against the silver bordered version which we had on hand. ![]()
